Partition wall - Kaiheki

A wall that separates each dwelling unit in an apartment or condominium. Under the Building Standards Act, partition walls in apartment buildings and other such buildings must be constructed without gaps that could cause problems in terms of sound insulation, and must be fire-resistant, semi-fire-resistant, or fire-retardant, and must reach the attic or ceiling.
