Metal-deficient planet

Japanese: 金属欠乏星 - きんぞくけつぼうせい
Metal-deficient planet
A star with a lower ratio of heavy elements than a standard star. It is so named because the spectral lines of heavy elements, especially metallic elements, are weak in its spectrum. Many metal-poor stars are high-velocity stars that exhibit large relative spatial motion with respect to the solar system.
