Kaneshige

Kaneshige
?-? A swordsmith from the Kamakura period.
One of the Ten Philosophers of Masamune. He is said to have moved to Seki in Mino (Gifu Prefecture) and built the foundation for the prosperity of Seki blacksmithing. He was born in Echizen (Fukui Prefecture).
