Kibi [town] - Kibi
A former town in the Arida district, located in the lower Arida River basin in the western part of Wakayama Prefecture. It is the home of the Arida mandarin orange, and is also a thriving town in rice and poultry farming. The Kisei Main Line and Kainan-Yuasa Toll Road pass through the town. In January 2006, it merged with Kanayama Town and Shimizu Town in the Arida district to become Aridagawa Town in the Arida district. Area: 36.37 km2 . Population: 14,940 (2003).
