Flower buds

Japanese:
Flower buds
There are two types of tree buds: those that become flowers and then fruit, and those that become leaves and then branches. The ones that become flowers are called flower buds. When it comes to fruit-bearing and flower-bearing bonsai, it is important to know the characteristics of each tree species regarding the way flower buds grow, as there are various types, such as those that grow at the end of elongated branches and those that grow on relatively short and thick branches (short branches). Therefore, there are differences in how the branches are cut and how the buds are left.
