Japanese weasel (English spelling)

...A mammal of the Mustelidae family in the carnivorous order, with a long, slender body and short limbs, and adept at burrowing into mouse burrows. Usually refers to the Japanese weasel Mustela itatsi (illustration) and the Siberian weasel M. sibirica (English name). The two species mentioned above are sometimes considered to be the same species, and the Japanese weasel has been introduced to Hokkaido and Sakhalin in addition to its original habitat in Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Iki.
