Ohirumemuchi Shrine - Ohirumemuchi Shrine

...Folk performing arts. This is a ritual art held on January 2nd at Dainichido (Dainichimemuchi Shrine) in Azukizawa, Hachimantai, Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture. It is performed by Noh performers from the four villages of Azukizawa, Ozato, Taniuchi, and Nagamine. The Noh performers are hereditary, and each village has its own traditional dance. On the day of the festival, the Noh performers gather at their respective village inns, known as butaimoto, around 2 a.m., and after a water ablution, they perform their traditional dances and then head to Dainichido in a procession before dawn. After events such as pushing rice grains and raising flags, a Bugaku performance begins on the stage in the center of the hall from around 8 a.m....

…民俗芸能。秋田県鹿角市八幡平字小豆沢（あずきざわ）の大日堂(大日孁貴（おおひるめむち）神社)で，1月2日に行われる祭事芸能。小豆沢，大里，谷内，長嶺の4集落の能衆によって舞われる。能衆は世襲で，それぞれの集落に所伝の舞がある。当日午前2時ごろ能衆は舞台元などと呼ばれるそれぞれの村の宿に集まり，水垢離（みずごり）潔斎のあと所伝の舞を舞い，暁前に行列を組んで大日堂に向かう。籾（もみ）押し，幡（はた）揚げなどの行事ののち，午前8時ごろから舞楽が堂内中央の舞台で執行される。…
