There are various branches of samurai who were active in the Middle Ages. (1) A clan of the Yokoyama clan of the Seven Clans of Musashi. Also written as Aihara. In the Wada War of 1213 (Kenpo 1), they sided with the Wada side and were killed, including Awaihara Taro. The Awaihara clan, who later appeared as vassals of the Hojo Tokuso family, are said to be descendants of the same clan who survived the Wada War. (2) The Chiba clan of the Kanmu Heishi. The direct trigger for the Wada War was the revelation of a treason by Wada Yoshitane (Yoshimori's younger brother) and others. At this time, a vassal of Chiba no Suke named Awaihara Jiro captured Anenbo, who had a palindrome of treason, marking the beginning of the revelation of the treason.
