Curassow (Crested Bird) - Curassow

Japanese: ホウカンチョウ(鳳冠鳥) - ホウカンチョウ
Curassow (Crested Bird) - Curassow
A general term for 44 species of birds in the Cracidae family of the order Galliformes. In the narrow sense, it can refer to the 12 species of curassowskies in the genus Cracidae, or to the greater curassowskies, formerly known as the curassowskies. All birds in the Cracidae family are distributed from Mexico to South America, and live mainly in forests. Unlike other groups in the order Galliformes, which live on the ground, many of them live in trees. They are 50 to 110 cm long, and have a body shape similar to that of a pheasant or chicken, with long, strong legs and toes.
