A town in Tagata County, eastern Shizuoka Prefecture. Most of the town is mountainous at the foot of Mt. Hakone, but the Tokaido Main Line passes through the central part via the Tanna Tunnel, and Kannami Station is located there. The southwestern part is the alluvial lowland of the Kano River, and is the center of dairy farming in North Izu.
