A mountain in Toyooka City in northern Hyogo Prefecture. It is 469 meters above sea level. It occupies a corner of Hyonosen-Ushiroyama-Nagisan Quasi-National Park. It is a troide-type volcano that was the last to erupt in the volcanic activity of the Hokutan Mountains. It is made of basalt, the same as Ookayama to the east, and the surrounding area is a plateau of lava and volcanic ash called Shiwa-no-Yo. Lava flows out along the Inaba River as far as the confluence with the Maruyama River. The mountainside is the center of the Kannabe Kogen Ski Resort, which is bustling with camping visitors in the summer. A bus runs from JR Sanin Main Line Ebara Station to the ski resort.
