Died: August 1464? A Florentine, Italian metalworker and printmaker. He is said to have collaborated with L. Ghiberti when he produced the eastern door of the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Florence. He is known for his works using the niello technique, which uses black enamel on silver, and for his inlaid sketches, but the exact details of his life and works are unknown. In his later years, he collaborated with A. Pollaiuolo. He was considered the inventor of copperplate printing by G. Vasari, but this is not accurate.

イタリアの金工家，版画家。 L.ギベルティがフィレンツェのサン・ジョバンニ洗礼堂東側扉を製作した際の協力者といわれる。銀に黒エナメルを使用したニエロ技術を用いた作品や象眼細工の下絵で知られているが，正確な生涯，作品は不明。晩年には A.ポライウオロに協力した。 G.バザーリの記述により銅版画の発明者とみなされていたが正確ではない。
