Kandariya Mahadeva Temple - Kandariya Mahadeva Temple

Japanese: カンダーリヤ・マハーデーバ寺 - カンダーリヤ・マハーデーバじ(英語表記)Kandārya Mahādēva Temple
Kandariya Mahadeva Temple - Kandariya Mahadeva Temple
A Hindu temple in Khajuraho, India. Built in the early 11th century. The entire temple is made of stone, with the entrance, front hall, worship hall, and main hall arranged on a platform. The roofs of each part gradually rise, and a 50m-high shikhara (tall tower) stands above the main hall, with numerous small shikharas on its sides, all covered in decoration. The exterior walls of the building are intricately segmented with vertical lines at the protruding and recessed corners and horizontal moldings that intersect at right angles to these. On top of this are sculptures of more than 800 gods, divine beasts, heavenly maidens, male and female mithunas, and other figures, giving the temple a bright and vibrant appearance. Stylistically, it is a representative example of Nagara-type architecture.
