A bronze kanamari (pot). It is a type of Buddhist altar implement and is thought to have been used as a relic container or a Buddhist altar offering vessel. Many were buried in caves or in late Kofun tombs. Those buried in Kofun tombs are mostly distributed east of the Chubu region, accounting for 80% of the total. They are divided into pot-shaped ones and ones with a pedestal. The pot-shaped ones are divided into those with and without a base, and the pedestal ones are divided into those with and without a base. 青銅製の鋺 (かなまり) 。仏具の一種で,舎利容器,供養仏器として用いられたと思われる。横穴や,後期古墳に埋葬された例も多い。古墳に埋葬されたものの分布は中部地方より東のほうに多く全体の8割に及んでいる。鋺形のものと,脚台付きのものとに分けられ,鋺形のものは高台のあるものとないものとに,脚台付きのものは承台のあるものとないものとに分けられる。ふたのあるものとないものとがある。
