...It is an alluvial plain formed by the Hii River and the Kandō River, and developed due to the changes in the course of the Hii River. Lake Jinzai in the southwest is the Kandō no Mizuumi in the Izumo no Kuni Fudoki, and there was a large amount of marshland nearby.
