Unlike brittle materials such as rocks, metals, synthetic resins, etc. cannot be crushed by normal means. For this reason, various crushing and pulverizing devices that use shearing force, such as shredders and cutter mills, have been developed and are used in waste disposal, etc. (Figure 4). Crushers that use both impact and shearing forces have also been developed.
