[Died] June 25, 1989. Tokyo Kabuki actor. Stage name Otowaya. Real name Fujima Yutaka. Born as the third son of Matsumoto Koshiro 7. Younger brother of Ichikawa Danjūrō 11th and Koshiro 8th. Joined Onoe Kikugoro 6th troupe in 1928, and took the stage name of Matsuroku 2nd at the Kabukiza in 1935. He is said to have inherited the art of leading roles under Kikugoro 6th. While active as a leading figure in the Onoe Kikugoro troupe, he also served as Fujima Kan'emon 4th, head of the Fujima school of Japanese dance, and later took the name Kansai. In 1972, he was recognized as a holder of an important intangible cultural property. In 1973, he became a member of the Japan Art Academy. In 1987, he was awarded the Order of Culture.

歌舞伎俳優。屋号音羽屋。本名藤間豊。7世松本幸四郎の三男として生まれる。 11世市川団十郎，8世幸四郎の実弟。 1928年に6世尾上菊五郎一座に入り，1935年歌舞伎座で2世松緑を襲名した。6世菊五郎の薫陶を受け，その立役の芸を継承したといわれる。尾上菊五郎劇団の重鎮として活躍する一方，日本舞踊の藤間流家元4世藤間勘右衛門を兼ね，のち勘斎を名のった。 1972年重要無形文化財保持者の認定を受けた。 1973年日本芸術院会員。 1987年文化勲章受章。
