An electronics manufacturer that deals in electronic desktop calculators, electronic watches, electronic dictionaries, etc. Its predecessor was Kashio Seisakusho, founded in 1946. In 1954, it developed a relay calculator, and in 1957, established Casio Computer. In 1965, it released a calculator with memory. It began exporting in 1966, and expanded its sales base to the United States and Europe. In 1972, it released the world's first personal calculator, the Casio Mini, and established itself as a calculator manufacturer. In 1974, it released electronic watches, in 1980 electronic musical instruments, and in 1995 digital cameras. It also entered the mobile phone terminal business in 2000. It is the industry leader in digital watches and calculators.
