〘名〙 (otter hound) カワウソ狩り専門の猟犬の一種。イギリス原産。頭部は大きく、首はやや短めで、口さきは大きくなくあごが強い。毛色は鉄灰色、砂色で、黒の斑がある。上毛は長く縮れて、下毛は羊毛状で厚く脂肪に富み、泳ぎがうまい。
