Elohim Documents - Elohim Shiryo

(Elohim means elōhīm, "God") One of the four main documents thought to make up the Pentateuch (or Hexateuch) at the beginning of the Old Testament. It is named after the fact that God is not called Yahweh, but the common noun Elohim is used. It is the second oldest document after the Yahweh document, and is said to have been created around 750 BC. (エロヒムはelōhīm 「神」の意) 「旧約聖書」の巻頭にある五書（または六書）を構成していると想像される四種の主要資料の一つ。神をヤハウェとよばず、普通名詞のエロヒムを用いるのでこの名がついた。ヤハウェ資料についで古く、紀元前七五〇年頃成立したとされる。
