(Elohim means elōhīm, "God") One of the four main documents thought to make up the Pentateuch (or Hexateuch) at the beginning of the Old Testament. It is named after the fact that God is not called Yahweh, but the common noun Elohim is used. It is the second oldest document after the Yahweh document, and is said to have been created around 750 BC.
