Ujina Port - Ujinako

Japanese: 宇品港 - うじなこう
Ujina Port - Ujinako

...The prefectural capital of Hiroshima Prefecture, located in the west of the prefecture. It was incorporated as a city in 1889. Its population of 1,108,888 (1995) is the largest in the Chugoku region. In 1980, it became the 10th city designated by government ordinance, and currently consists of eight wards: Naka, Higashi, Minami, Nishi, Asaminami, Asakita, Aki, and Saiki. The city area stretches across the middle and lower reaches of the Ota River, with the Chugoku Mountains at its back, and faces the Seto Inland Sea to the south. The central city area is on the Ota River delta, and six rivers branch out into the city, making it known as the "City of Water." However, only 16.8% of the city area is below 50 meters above sea level, and about a quarter of the city is hilly and mountainous, with an elevation of 100 meters or more, which is an obstacle to urban expansion.
