Its main lines include standard gauge lines between Namba and Kashikojima (Osaka Line, Yamada Line, etc.), between Fuse and Kintetsu Nara (Nara Line), between Ise-Nakagawa and Kintetsu Nagoya (Nagoya Line), and between Kyoto and Kashihara-Jingu-mae (Kyoto Line, etc.), as well as 1067mm gauge lines between Osaka Abenobashi and Yoshino (Minami Osaka Line) and between Ibi and Kuwana (Yoro Line). The core of the predecessor railways was the Osaka Electric Tramway, founded in 1910 (Nara Line.
