Episode film

...A film that is made up of independent short episodes or stories that make up a single work. There are also examples called episode films (episodic films). According to American film historians, the first omnibus film was Paramount's One Million Yen (1932), a film consisting of eight episodes about a large sum of money that unexpectedly falls into the hands of a person. The film had 18 screenwriters and seven directors, but Paramount, which viewed MGM as a rival, intended the project to be novel.
