Sochocho - Sochocho

A Chinese labor movement leader and Communist Party member. Born in Guangdong Province, he became a seaman, organized the China Seamen's Industrial Union General Assembly, and led the Hong Kong seamen's strike of 1922 and the general strike in Hong Kong and Guangzhou that lasted for over a year from 1925. During the period of Kuomintang-Communist cooperation, he played an active role as a Wuhan government committee member and head of the Kuomintang's Agriculture and Industry Department, and after the Kuomintang-Communist split, he was recommended as chairman of the Guangzhou Commune when it was established while still living in Moscow. He later served as an executive committee member of the Comintern and Profintern in Moscow, but died of illness.

中国労働運動の指導者で共産党員。広東(カントン)省に生まれて海員となり、中華海員工業連合総会を組織、1922年の香港(ホンコン)海員ストライキや、1925年から1年余にわたった省港（香港・広州）ゼネストを指導した。国共合作期には武漢政府委員、国民党農工部長などで活躍、国共分裂後は広州コミューンが樹立された際モスクワ在住のまま主席に推された。その後、モスクワでコミンテルン、プロフィンテルンの執行委員を務めたが病没した。
