HF - High Frequency

Abbreviation for high frequency. One of the frequency bands defined in the Radio Regulations attached to the Charter of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the range is from 3 MHz to 30 MHz. In terms of wavelength, this ranges from 100 meters to 10 meters, and in terms of meters it is classified as a decameter wave. It is usually called short wave.

high frequencyの略称。国際電気通信連合(ITU)憲章に付属する無線通信規則に定められている周波数区分の一つで、その範囲は3メガヘルツを超え、30メガヘルツ以下の周波数帯をいう。これを波長で表せば100メートルから10メートルの範囲となり、メートルによる分類はデカメートル波に区分される。普通、短波とよばれている。
