In Puritanism and Pietism, sanctification is the visible realization of God's invisible predestination and election, and through this, the idea of ​​the Kingdom of God was attempted to be realized socially and ethically. This optimistic ethics was rejected by the eschatology emphasized after World War I, which said that glorification, which follows justification and sanctification, is solely the work of God, and that only through this can salvation of humanity and the universe be achieved. This ultimate salvation is not simply the salvation of nature, and does not coincide with the ethics of the Stoics, which seek "ataraxia," a state of mind that is deeply ingrained in Europeans. Rather, it is characteristic of Judaism and Christianity that it is realized as the second creation through the Last Judgment.
