Ireisen

...It is distributed from southern Hokkaido to Taiwan, from South Korea to southern China and the Ogasawara Islands, and is often cultivated for decorative purposes overseas. The plant known as Ireisen and used for medicinal purposes is originally the root of C. chinensis Osbeck, but C. chinensis is also widely used. It is used as a painkiller, etc.
