Mine [town] - Mine
A former town in Miyaki County in eastern Saga Prefecture. It occupies the northern part of the Saga Plain, on the right bank of the Chikugo River. It is an agricultural region centered on rice, where rush grass and vegetables are cultivated, and livestock are raised. The Chikugo River embankment, Chiriku Doi, was built by Narutomi Shigeyasu during the Keicho era. In March 2005, it merged with Nakahara Town and Kita Shigeyasu Town in Miyaki County to become a town, Miyaki Town. 16.37 km2 . 7,604 people (2003).

佐賀県東部，三養基(みやき)郡の旧町。佐賀平野北部，筑後川の右岸を占める。米作中心の農業地域で，イグサや野菜の栽培，畜産を行う。慶長年間成富茂安が築いた筑後川の堤防千栗(ちりく)土居がある。2005年３月三養基郡中原町，北茂安町と合併し町制，みやき町となる。16.37km2。7604人（2003）。
