[一] 滋賀県南部、野洲(やす)市と竜王町の境にある山。ふもとに鏡宿があった。標高三八五メートル。龍王山。歌枕。※古今（905‐914）雑上・八九九「鏡山いざたちよりてみてゆかん年へぬる身はおいやしぬると〈よみ人しらず〉」[二] 福岡県中東部、香春(かわら)町の地名。神功皇后が新羅(しらぎ)征討に際し、神々に祈願したという所。※万葉（８Ｃ後）三・三一一「梓弓引き豊国の鏡山(かがみやま)見ず久ならば恋しけむかも」[三] 佐賀県唐津市東端にある山。松浦の佐用姫が山上から領巾(ひれ)を振って大伴狭手比古に別離を惜しんだという。領巾振(ひれふる)山。褶揺峰(ひれふりのみね)。まつら山。[四] 広島県東広島市西条町にある山。室町時代、大内氏が西条城を築き、安芸国（広島県西部）を支配したが、大永三年（一五二三）尼子経久に攻められて落城した。
