Philosophical Transactions

Japanese: 《Philosophical Transactions》(英語表記)PhilosophicalTransactions
Philosophical Transactions

…Scientific journals appeared during the scientific revolution in the 17th century and became a medium for popularizing modern science. The first scientific journal, which became the model for later scientific journals, was the Royal Society's journal, Philosophical Transactions (published from 1665). As the era of manuscripts gave way to the era of printing, the public meaning of research presentations changed. …

From the academic conference:

...The name "Royal" was given to the Society because in 1662 King Charles II granted the Society a Royal Charter for its activities, and it has a stronger connotation of royal recognition than royal. Secondly, thanks to the efforts of the Society's secretary, H. Oldenburg (c. 1618-1677), the Society began publishing the Philosophical Transactions in 1665. Through the compact and rapid means of communication of its journal, the Society was able to play the role of a "clearing house of learning" for scholars and scientists throughout Europe.

From the magazine:

【history】
The first periodical in the form of a magazine is said to have been Erbauliche Monaths Unterredungen (1663-68), founded by the Hamburg theologian and poet Johann Rist. This was followed by the French writer Denis de Sallo's Journal des sçavans and the English Royal Society's Philosophical Transactions, both published in 1665. Both of these were publications by 17th-century intellectuals expressing their academic ambitions and informing their fellow enthusiasts of their findings.
