Its abbreviation is Lyn. It is a small constellation in the northern sky. It was newly established by the 17th century German astronomer J. Hevelius. With the exception of one 3rd magnitude star, there are only faint stars, so you cannot see the Lynx. It is best to remember that it is in the sky between Ursa Major and Auriga. Its approximate position is 7h50m in right ascension and +45° in declination. It reaches its highest point in the sky at 8pm in mid-March.
