A haiku book from the mid-Edo period. Compiled by Kiitsu. The first volume was published in 1750 (Kan'en 3) and the tenth volume was published in 1756 (Horeki 6). The title refers to Musashi's Tamagawa, one of the six Tamagawas famous in old poetry, and the intention is that this new project, which is an excerpt of the most highly-rated verses from Edo-za haiku, will water the mouths of many Edo residents, just like the Tamagawa Aqueduct. In addition to verses in the 5-7-5 format, it also contains verses in the 7-7 format such as "When I miss you, I hold my cat in my arms," and many of the verses are full of emotion. In addition, the first five volumes of "Edoshiori" were compiled as a later collection of this book, and after Kiitsu's death, these volumes were combined to form "Tsubame-tsushiori" volumes 1 to 15, and volumes 16 to 18 were added.
