Pegasidae

...The English name is sea dragon or sea moth, both of which are based on the unique shape. The family name Pegasidae comes from Pegasus, the winged winged horse in Greek mythology. Three species are found in the waters off Japan: the sea dragon Zalises draconis , the sea horse Pegasus volitans , and the spear dragon Parapegasus natans . All of them live in the warm seas south of central Honshu.
