Bouake
A city in the center of Côte d'Ivoire. It is connected by rail to Abidjan, about 300 km south-southeast, and Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, and is the center of the road network. Coffee, cacao, tobacco, cotton, etc. are traded and processed here. There is a forestry school. Population: 461,618 (1998).
