During this time they had many experiences, including a visit to Versailles and a performance in front of King Louis XV, meeting German composers living in Paris (such as Johann Schobert, the pioneer of sonatas for clavier and violin, and Johann Gottfried Eckard, the earliest composer of piano sonatas), publishing their first sonata cycle (for clavier and violin, K.6-K.9), studying under Christian Bach in London, composing their first symphonies (K.16, K.19, K. 6 19a, etc.), and falling seriously ill in the Netherlands. …
