Sebastiscus marmoratus (English spelling)

...Both species are known for having poisonous spines on their dorsal fins. The rockfish Sebastiscus marmoratus (illustration) is widely distributed in coastal areas of Japan from southern Hokkaido southward and in the East China Sea. It lives on rocky shores and offshore reefs, but while those that live in coastal areas are blackish brown, those that live in deeper waters are more reddish.
