Austrian Marxism is a Marxist current that developed among Austrian social democrats who wrote for the theoretical and political journal of scientific socialism, Marx-Studien, which was founded in 1904, and for the theoretical journal of the Austrian Social Democratic Party, Der Kampf, which was published in 1907. The term was first used by the American socialist Louis B. Boudin before World War I, and has since rapidly gained acceptance. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
