...The Panchatantra was translated into Medieval Persian Pahlavi around the 6th century from a manuscript that was transmitted to northwestern India, but was lost and lost. Syriac (around 570) and Arabic (around 750) translations were based on this, and these translations were called "Kalila and Dimna," and this title became the origin of subsequent translations in Western countries. The Persian translation "Anwari-i-Suhaili" (15th century) also became the basis for translations in Western countries, but the French translation of this translation calls it "The Tale of Pirpai (or Bidpai)." The Panchatantra was transmitted to Western countries at an early stage, but it also spread to Southeast Asian countries and was translated into languages such as Java, Thailand, and Malay.
