Tiahuanaco

…the culture centered in Tiahuanaco, located in the desolate grasslands near Lake Titicaca on the southern Andean plateau at an altitude of over 4000m in Bolivia. It is known to have been a culture that began later than the Chavin culture of the central and northern Andes, and lasted for 100-1200 years, passing through a typical Tiahuanaco period and then expanding into the surrounding areas along with the Wari culture of Peru, achieving the second cultural expansion.
