Laboratory school

…Dewey accomplished two groundbreaking accomplishments during his tenure at the University of Chicago. One was the establishment of the Laboratory School at the University of Chicago, which became the starting point of the progressive education movement in America (1896, and the publication of its educational principles in School and Society (1899)). The other was the publication of Studies in a Logical Theory by Dewey and his colleagues in 1903, which led to the formation of a new school of pragmatism, the so-called Chicago School.
