Geometrie descriptive (English)

...This method of solving geometrical problems was initially classified as a military secret, but was later made public. His book Géométrie descriptive, published in 1799, became the original text of descriptive geometry, and was soon taught in military schools around the world. It later had a major influence on the field of industrial drawing.
