Geometridae

…General term for insects in the Geometridae family of the order Lepidoptera. The family with the second largest number of species in the order Lepidoptera after the Noctuidae. In Japan alone, there are nearly 800 known species, including the mulberry geometridae (illustration), the mugwort geometridae, the dragonfly geometridae (illustration), and the yellow spotted geometridae (illustration), and tens of thousands of species have been registered worldwide.
