The Droit at the Paresse (English: The Droit at the Paresse)

...This is the reason why leisure theory quickly turned into a theory of systems and a question of the basic image of human beings. In this sense, the direct starting point of modern leisure theory would be Marx's son-in-law P. Lafargue's pamphlet "The Right to Be Lazy" (1883) and TB Veblen's "The Theory of Leisure Class" (1899), which built a unique economic and social theory with the allocation of leisure as one of its axes. In the developed capitalist countries of America and Western Europe, the obvious phenomenon of popularizing leisure began after the 1930s, which marked the turning point of structural changes such as the New Deal and the Popular Front.
