A basic document that describes Kawamura Zuiken's project to renovate the East-West sea routes. Written by Arai Hakuseki. 1 volume. After explaining the importance of land and water transportation, the book describes how Zuiken was ordered to directly ship tens of thousands of koku of rice from the Shogunate's Shinobu County, Oshu in 1670 (Kanbun 10), and then in 1672, rice from the Shogunate's Murayama County, Ushu, to Edo, and how he was able to safely ship it to Edo thanks to the recommendations he submitted after conducting on-site surveys, as well as the resulting renovation of the East-West sea routes.
