…J. Epstein, originally a Russian Jew who came from America, left behind a large number of portrait sculptures, as well as constructivist works and primitive-style human sculptures. Sculptors after World War II who pursued a different modernist tendency from Moore and others include E. Paolozzi, Reg Butler (1913-81), Lynn Chadwick (1914- ), and Kenneth Armitage (1916- ).
