...In the 20th century, photographic atlases were made, including the Franklin Adams Atlas (1916), the first to cover the entire sky with 206 sheets, with a scale of 15 mm equivalent to 1 celestial degree, and including stars of magnitude 15. The Wolf-Pariser Atlas (1900-08) included stars of magnitude 16 in the zodiac, and many others, including the Union Photographic Atlas (1917-37) and the Lick Observatory Photographic Atlas (1972). The largest atlas, including the faintest stars, is the Palomar Photographic Atlas, which shows stars of magnitudes 20 to 21 north of declination -33 degrees. ...
