Beishacheng Han Tombs (English: Beishacheng Han Tombs)
A group of ancient tombs from the early Han dynasty in Beishacheng and Huai'an, Huai'an County, Hebei Province, China. In 1941, the East Asian Archaeological Society investigated three of the dozen or so ancient tombs in the Beishacheng group. All are square tombs with mounds 4-7m high and about 20m on each side. Tomb No. 6 has a wooden coffin 5.2m x 2.5m deep, 6m underground. There are two coffins, one on the north and one on the south, with a Zhaoming mirror and decorative brush in the north coffin and a bronze hairpin and small agate beads in the south coffin, and inside the coffin were numerous bronze utensils, lacquer utensils, starry sky mirrors, belt hooks, and chaltens. It is thought to date to the end of the early Han dynasty. Only a few artifacts were found in the burial pit of Tomb No. 7.
