Book of Job

...A book belonging to the so-called "Writings" in the Old Testament. Its contents indicate that it belongs to the later period of wisdom literature, but the exact date of its creation is unknown. However, it is clear that this work was written at a time when it was becoming increasingly clear that the principle of karma, which is the usual view of wisdom literature, does not fit reality, and Israel's history had passed its heyday, and skepticism had become commonplace.
