Japanese: 上県[町] - かみあがた

An old town in the northwest of Tsushima, Kamiagata District, Nagasaki Prefecture. The main settlement is Susuna at the northern tip, which has a good port. There is extensive forestland and forestry is thriving. Shiitake mushrooms are produced, and coastal fishing is also practiced. The Ontake area is a habitat for the northern kitataki (a natural monument). Korea can be seen from Mt. Senbyomaki. In March 2004, it merged with Izuhara Town, Mitsushima Town, and Toyotama Town in Shimoagata District, Mine Town in Kamiagata District, and Kamitsushima Town to form Tsushima City. 157.71 ^km2 . 4,545 people (2003).

長崎県上県郡，対馬北西部の旧町。主集落は北端の佐須奈で良港をもつ。林野が広く林業が盛ん。シイタケを産し，沿岸漁業も行う。御岳一帯はキタタキ生息地（天然記念物）。千俵蒔(せんびょうまき)山からは韓国が見渡せる。2004年３月下県郡厳原町，美津島町，豊玉町，上県郡峰町，上対馬町と合併し，対馬市となる。157.71km²。4545人（2003）。
