The leaves have long petioles, are circular-cordate shaped, thin, and have sparse hairs on the edges. In spring, as the leaves unfold, a peduncle shorter than the petiole emerges between the leaves, at the end of which a single tubular flower hangs downward. The sepals are dirty yellow-white with a purple-brown tinge. The base is tubular and the tip lobes are completely curled back, so the overall shape of the flower appears bowl-shaped. …
